Prof. C.R. Karisiddappa is a retired Professor of the Dept. of Library and Information Science, Karnatak University, Dharwad. He also served as University Librarian (additional charge), Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences ( 2005 – 2007) and UGC – Emeritus Professor ( 2008 – 2010). He has been associated with 50 universities of the country and served on several committees and Boards. Prof. Karisiddappa was a convener of the UGC – Curriculum Development Committee (Library and Information Science) and completed the task of designing the UGC Model LIS Curriculum (2001) which is now implemented in majority of the Indian Universities. He is closely connected with IFLA - LIS Education in Developing countries, Special Interest Group (SIG) for which he was one of the founder members. He has participated in number of national and International conferences and seminars. Apart from being in few UGC committees, he served as a Member of the NAAC Peer Team. He has been involved in conducting the Academic and Administrative Auditing of several universities and colleges as peer team member. He was a President of ILA (2002 – 2004) and IATLIS (2005 – 2008). Recognizing his valuable contributions to LIS Education and research IATLIS honoured him with Motiwale National Best Teacher Award (2000) and ILA felicitated him with ILA – PSG Kumar Life time Achievement Award (2005). Prof. Karisiddappa is a prolific writer and he has to his credit over 250 research papers edited 15 books including 3 translations. Being a humble teacher, sincere researcher and a committed professional he has carved his own image in the LIS Teaching and Research. Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh is presently Professor and Head in the Department of Library and Information Science Gauhati University, Guwahati, Assam. He is associated with the noble job of teaching since July 1997 in GU. Before associating as teacher he was also a Librarian for couple of years in the Institute of Neurological Science (now GNRC), Guwahati from 1995-97. He has published more than 75 research papers/articles in national and international journals and proceedings. He has authored one book, edited three books and assisted in editing three books. Under his supervision nine research scholars have been awarded PhD degree from Gauhati University, Assam. Dr. Ashwini Anand Vaishnav is former Professor and Head, Department of Library and Information Science, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU), Aurangabad. Currently she is working as ICSSR Senior Fellow at Department of Library and Information Science, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad.

She is M.Sc. (Zoology) (1974) from BAMU; M.Lib.Sc.(1984) from S.N.D.T. Women’s University, Mumbai; Ph.D. in Library and Information Science (1995) from BAMU. She has been awarded ‘Malati Jayant Dalal Prize’ by S.N.D.T. Women’s University, Mumbai. She has professional as well as teaching experience of nearly four decades. She has headed the Department since 1994 to 2010, and also worked as Ex-Officio University Librarian at BAMU. She has published 162 research papers in National & International journals, Seminar Proceedings, edited volumes etc. in English and Marathi. She has authored/edited 10 books, Seminar proceedings & festschrift volumes; compiled four bibliographies, written book reviews and 10 Biographical sketches. She has completed three UGC Minor Research Projects viz. 1. Computerized Information Services for BAMUL, 2. Library Orientation Programme: An A-V package, 3. Periodicals Management System and Major research project entitled ‘Design and Development of Database on FOLK KNOWLEDGE in Maharashtra’ sanctioned by DSIR, Govt. of India. 4. An Approach to Knowledge Auditing in Context of Quality Teaching and Research in Higher Education for UGC Emeritus Fellowship. She has prepared e-documents and distance learning course material for YCMOU. She has been the Convenor of 9 National Seminars, Co-Ordinated 8 UGC Refresher Courses, 3 Short Term Courses for updating skills of local librarians, as well as 2 Short Term Courses for students on ‘SETTING FOR SET’. So far 19 students have been awarded Ph. D. Degree under her supervision and four are in progress. She is a Life Member of IASLIC, ILA, IATLIS and Marathwada Library Association and served as Vice President of IATLIS and Executive member of Marathwada Library Association. Dr. Ravinder Kumar Chadha, former Additional Secretary, Parliament of India is presently engaged as Professor at Malwanchal University. In addition his current assignments include Adjunct Faculty at Banasthali Vidyapeeth, member of Governing Board of Inflibnet and Building Committees of Election Commission and Inflibnet.

Dr. Chadha was member of Indian Delegation to WTO Parliamentary Conference, Geneva 2014; Inter-Parliamentary Seminar for Asian Parliaments on ‘Preventing and Responding to Violence against Women and Girls’ 2011 and Secretary to the Parliamentary Delegation to Iran. A widely travelled professional, he was invited to USA during 1993 and 2002 under International Visitors Leadership Programme (IVLP) and also to Germany by Goethe Institute. He has delivered several Key-note Addresses/invited talks including at PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Royal Society of Chemistry and a number of National/ International Conferences.

Gina de Alwis was Former Head of Library at the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) from September 1991 – December 2018 and was instrumental in driving the SIM Library Vision 2020 project.

His special interest is in popularising the use of public library services among local people through innovative activities and community services in Rural Bengal. He is Editor of IASLIC Bulletin- a peer reviewed journal of repute in the field of library science. He is recipient of Vidyasagar University Gold Medal in 1989,Ranganathan Medal for ‘THE BEST ARTICLE’ in 2000, Prof P N Kaula Best Paper Award by Indian Association of Teachers’ of Library and Information Science during 2005-2006, Certificate Of Appreciation for commendable contribution towards promotion of Library Movement --- by the Manipur Library Association in 2012 and SIKSHA RATNA award 2019 by the Higher Education Depart of the Govt of West Bengal.
